MP3Base

MP3Base is a versatile free MP3 organizer that provides you with a very complete set of tools to help you keep track of all your songs. It also allows you to find specific tracks in no time, even if you have thousands of them. The program makes use of a database to keep a record of each of your songs, while allowing you to manage a number of different users.

The program's user interface is really simple and easy to use. It basically consists of a toolbar - located at the top - that provides you with access to all the functions and tools available, and a big panel arranged to display all the songs in your database or a subset of them. The program allows you to search your entire database and find just the songs that match the criteria specified by you: you can search by artist, title, and/or album, and the program will even check for the physical availability of every song matching the criteria. In case the intended MP3 file is no longer available in your system, the program will let you know by placing a special identifying icon by the file name. Then you will be offered to remove it from the database for good.

A very useful feature in this program is the ID3 Tag Editor, which works in a separate window. Every time you click on a listed song, its ID3 information is displayed automatically, allowing you to update it easily. At the same time, the program also allows you to find any song based on its file name, in case no ID3 information is available. more
